Ukraine hopes to introduce visa-free regime with EU

This year Ukraine hopes to launch talks with the European Commission to draw up a "road map" the fulfilment of which would envisage a visa-free regime for Ukrainians with the European Union. This was disclosed by Deputy Foreign Minister, Konstiantyn Yeliseyev, at the round table "Experience of Integration of Central and South-Eastern Europe Countries to the EU and Ukraine".

According to Mr Yeliseyev, the "road map" should include clear requirements in line with the Schengen criteria Ukraine is to achieve in order to introduce a visa-free regime.
